Langass Lodge restaurant dining area with loch views
The Restaurant

Local seafood, dived that morning.

A set menu built around what's been caught, gathered or shot on the island, with regular specials.

A set menu by Head Chef Mike MacDonald.

Mike is a North Uist native, and his cooking is rooted in it. The set menu leans on the island's best seafood, game and produce, all prepared in house from scratch: scallops dived by Niall, mussels and cockles gathered by Amanda from the shore, venison and game from the estate, vegetables and herbs from a handful of trusted Uist growers. Mike also loves to surprise guests now and then, so keep an eye on the specials sheet too.

Dinner is served in both the Restaurant and the Bar, with exactly the same menu in each, just a different dining atmosphere depending on which you prefer. Lunch is served in the Bar, along with brunch on weekends. Non-residents are always welcome, though booking is strongly recommended.
